At the close Bid 102300 @ 7 ½ , Ask 3000 @ 7 9/16.
The technical analysis today ( per eSignal )
was very positive:
-volume
even lower than ALL of last 4 weeks,
-Bollinger bands
between bid and ask TIGHTENING,
ie buyers need to come up with more cash,
-Money Flow
steadily INCREASING X 1 week
-1/2 hour ( 1245-1315 ) of
almost NO trades!!
-SHORTING stock IS PIDDLY...100, 200, 500 shares.
We don't see the 50000, 100000 blocks of 2-3 weeks ago.

-STAYING ABOVE 50 day Moving Average.

Conseco Finance's credit rating status was revised to "negative" from "developing" by Standard & Poor's. According to a S&P statement, S&P "believes Conseco Finance's creditworthiness is severely limited by a lack of funding flexibility and aggressive leverage." Also, S&P cited its belief that the finance unit will not be sold to a "higher-rated" entity in the foreseeable future. Conseco Finance's ratings were placed on "developing" on March 31. Conseco's (CNC: news, msgs) ratings status was placed on "negative" on April 7. Currently, Conseco shares are down 1/16 to 7 7/8 on volume of 2.8 million shares.
