While it is disappointing that Gilat beat us to the punch with fixed phones in Mexico and China, I do feel that it is further verification that other companies feel that there is a significant market for fixed satellite telephones. Gilat is using 1980's technology with VSAT. This gives a significant voice delay like Inmarsat and the satellite dishes must be very carefully aimed. I am confident that if people were given the choice of Globalstar quality connecticity and Gilat's GEOs they would choose Globalstar. My phone works better than my standard cell connection. Gilat's phones will sound like a disappointing Inmarsat. I heard from Investor Relations that the Gilat system is very close in price to the Globalstar so price is not a factor. Quality will win in the end. Investartist
