In the past six months the FDA has overruled the advisory boards on 3 drugs that I know of. Knoll's Sibutramine for obesity. Reciptor for AIDS and one other AIDS drug I can't recall the name of, but it was approved last January after an Advisory Panel rejection. The big point here is, the Panel was never asked to vote on whether or not Myotrophin should be approved for marketing. And an even bigger point here is the Panel was specifically ASKED not to even discuss the approvability issue. Hmmm. Very interesting. We'll just have to wait it out. So, Dermatologist, you stand corrected. Now I will return to the much more intelligent and compelling Motley Fool Boards.
