Another way to look at the numbers DownSouth posts is to note that the NTAP growth rate is going through the roof, increasing at a more rapid rate of increase starting with the last fiscal year, 2000, and continuing into the new one, 2001.

For both the 98 and 99 fiscal year comparisons, NTAP cruised along at a phenomenal growth rate of anywhere from the low 80% to low 70%. The pattern was one of stable and powerful growth.

Something happens, however, with the number for the Oct 2000 comparisons. It moves to 90%, more than any previous quarterly comparison. The pattern holds for the following quarter, the Jan. quarter. It moves to 100% over the comparable quarter a year earlier. Then moves to 120%. And now moves to 124%.

It's as if the growth rate supercharges itself.
