bernie: The suggestion that NETP use its SPO money to buy out the VV's is not viable. Such a use of the funds would not be legal. The SPO did not raise money for that purpose, neither did the original IPO. If a buy back program was presented as a defence against a hostile takeover - which would be a difficult thing to show - the terms of the SPO does allow that. In order to have a buy back program there would need to be a resolution of the BOD, and possibly shareholder approval. Money could be borrowed to fund a buy back program.
