I sympathize, really! The traffic will now be lots worse here, too, made even worserrr as we are undergoing a lot of construction because what was once a rural, very lovely small Texas town is determined to become another giant suburban blot on the metroplex. The latest addition is a huge totally unnecessary mall, with the inevitable TJMaxx, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Ultra Beauty Supplies, and numerous other businesses all of which could already be found two miles down the road in Grapevine and most of which I think are completely unnecessary, anyway. I'm amazed at the hours women can spend shopping. I hate shopping. (More proof I'm not from Venus)
Dan says there's a tropical storm heading toward the Gulf. Sure hope it brings some rain. We were 100 again yesterday. I'm sure Houston is worse. |
