Our "war skills" (imo) would be ridiculous against a truly sophisticated race- the only reason we triumph in our Sci Fi movies is because WE write the movies.

I see no reason to spread ourselves to the stars. We've done quite enough damage here- I see no reason we should do more elsewhere. The better goal, would seem to ME to try to improve the human race BEFORE we disperse it. Because right now it is clear to ME that we could use a great deal of improvement.
