ASHBURN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2000--Telos(R) Corporation today announced the creation of a new company Telos-OK(TM), in Lawton, Oklahoma formed by a public-private partnership combining the resources of Telos Corporation and a group of local partners.

Telos and the local partners will each own 50% of Telos-OK.

Telos has been a part of the Lawton community for over 24 years, providing software and system development to the United States Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Telos-OK will continue to support critical army missions at Fort Sill, while identifying and capitalizing on new technology related opportunities in the southwest region of the United States.

"We are especially happy that our long term goals for our company's growth in Lawton are consistent with Lawton's economic development vision and compliments the work of the community's Smart Economy Task Force," stated Aldrich. "Telos-OK will continue to build on our record of excellence and will be energized by the support of local partners, Cameron University, Great Plains Technology Center and Lawton Public Schools".

Bill W. Burgess, Jr., Lawton business leader, heads the local partner group. Mr. Burgess will serve as Chairman of the Board for Telos-OK while Mr. Aldrich will serve as Chief Executive Officer and President of the new company.

"I am a native of Lawton, a graduate of Cameron University, and the son of a retired army sergeant. I am committed to this community and to this company. This is an emerging technology community and it's with great pride that we launch Telos-OK to secure Lawton's place in the high-tech revolution," said Burgess.

Telos-OK currently employs 225 people in southwest Oklahoma.

Telos Corporation specializes in building information technology companies which position organizations to take advantage of changing business conditions through enabling technologies that link people, data, and ideas.
