1. My response was to be understood in the same rhetorical vein as your request that I help pay your taxes. I was using your post simply as an excuse to express outrage about the politics of greed supported by so many on this thread.

2. It was not intended as a personal attack, or at least no more so than was your earlier suggestion that I "move to downtown Havana". But if you are compelled to take it personally, go ahead.

2. When you ask for understanding as in "high income people feeling taxed to the point where they wonder if it is worth it at all"...it sure reads like a request for pity to me.

3. I find your politics inhumane, not your income status or net worth. If these are all the same to you, so be it!

5. I am a capitalist, although a pragmatic one. I am amazed that I now pay in taxes what I once thought would make a good gross income. But I'm proud to contribute. I’ve forgotten neither my roots nor the people who have not been as fortunate as myself. But I understand how your type needs to point and shriek about "bolsheviks", "comrads" and "proletariat" as a shrill reaction to criticism...so continue

4. Please give us more juicy and twisted anecdotes about how welfare mothers are actually planning to live in a house costing over a million dollars. Attempts by the daffy right wing to degrade the plight of the underclass never fail to amuse.
