Tom, Stefaan, Stuart, The short position in BTRN doesn't seem particularly high, against a float of about 5 million shares. As of 7/15, the short position was 95,448, up from 81,316 a month earlier, see: viwes.com
And the short position was as high as 150K in February, 101K in March (a good call then by the shorts). So I'm a little surprised that BTRN has gone onto the UPC list now.
I agree that the shorts can give some fuel to a liftoff triggered by other events (psoriasis or other news, say), but there doesn't appear to be a lot of fuel lying around here.
