Finisar has a lot of activity lately. I wonder what is going on. Good earnings or something else? A board meeting is scheduled for today, I believe, based on a post on the Finisar thread. Possible merger with Cisco, or someone else? To merge the Optical Network with the FC SAN, Finisar has the brain power and management execution for it. Based on the article about Cisco and Nortel trying to encapsulate 10GB GE in Sonet, and Finisar's new Sonet Tranceiver, I would say that Finisar has the right stuff to accomplish any and all of the most cutting edge moves. It's too bad Finisar is not merging with Q-Logic, together they could be an awesome force in the emerging FC, Infiniband, GE, Optical(Sonet & DWDM), Network Convergence.
