Poor example, Mike. It is confiscation of wealth -- not "life energy." Jeesh, you're starting to sound like Fred on the FEELINGs thread!

The proper role of the government is to stick to its Constitutional duties and stay out of the people's lives. Part of that responsibility is to protect individual's inalienable rights and property rights -- NOT to usurp or diminish those rights or steal property with threatened force. This is a direct abuse of its power.

The government has no right and does not Constitutionally have the power to tax income, create social programs, redistribute wealth, attempt to legislate morality, etc. That it does only proves that so many who have been elected have actually violated their oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America. And that is why we no longer have a true united country, but rather, the Disunited States of America.

FT

Taxes are a confiscation of the life energy of the people. People use their energy to work, start businesses and create wealth. The government then (via taxes) takes some of it. What they take should be 1. necessary for the common good of the people when private enterprise efforts have failed to address a severe problem. or 2. Be results driven. In other words, they must *prove* using objective data that the life energy they have taken from the people has worked to achieve the results desired.
