Think it has more to do with the office and power... then party affiliation............................. but people without any sense of history have things way out of perspective in terms of consequence. Compare the "lie" of Clinton's to a "little" fib of Lyndon Johnson's.... Remember Johnson's reason for engaging in Vietnam? That Gulf of Tonkin dousy..was a pretty good one..don't you think? LBJ's "little" fib, Nixon's using the powers of his office to obstruct justice, and Reagan's circumvention of laws to fund the Contra's were all impeachable offenses that rose to the level of High Crimes and Misdemeanors ....whether these crimes were persecuted fully or not.... Then talk about sexual transgressions... Boy where was Sam Donaldson back when Jefferson, FDR, Kennedy's, Harding and many others sexual transgressions? Hell Jefferson was a blatant racist screwing around with his wife's negro half-sister and had illegitimate children with this black woman...
