Darell: Chinese and Indians together are over 2B people almost 6 times the population of US. But buying power is limited. Cell phones are popular because regular phone service is extremely expensive and connections are hard to get. Equating that to PC sales is not appropriate.
Even though these people can afford lower priced PCs, affording higher priced products from Dell will take time. Governments in Asia tend consider buying American products as prestigeous. They will be willing to fork over more money than an ordinary citizen.
The eggs may still hatch, but let us count them when they do.
