ALA develops their own chipset and decides it no longer needs to have AMD mfg on their behalf: 193.74.99.12 then, AMD sensing that they will no longer have the ALA business (license based on old designs) decide to sell their CPD to Frisco Partners: amd.com amd.com This is the telecom division only with the old ALA license > amd.com and they do not intend to include Networking > amd.com And they say so here: amd.com besides ADI is eating up DSL market with AWRE help: aware.com aware.com aware.com AWRE of course is still keeping an eye on the relationship ADI is forming with VRTA who already provides chips to ALA for use in WSTL modems: aware.com aware.com but overall this benefits all three parties. Mean while a the new guy on the street is quickly trying to position himself to fill the gap before CPD gets a foothold: 205.219.83.203 My only confusion stems from the communication that ALA intends to leave this market ... I don't see it on their website ... any URL's to verify appreciated. JMO, NEPF PS: Forgot one thing ... what happened to the 500 lb gorilla (TXN)??
