I thought I had answered this already Peace, but I don't see it now.

...Must be getting old. :8)

It did appear to be one of the best articles I have seen. There was another good article on Yahoo from the RealWorldTech something site that said much the same thing. I think it will take the rest of the year to find out the likely ending to this "tail".

Frankly I don't see why the big Fabs would pay and lord knows I can't see IBM or INTC ever coughing up for any SDRAM flavors AND their various controllers.

If I was RMBS and knew I had the goods I wouldn't be going from the bottom up to sock it to these guys. I'd have taken on the biggest kid on the block and counted on fighting the battle only once. If they sued MU and won big, no one else would put up much of a fight.

This pick off strategy of their's may work, but heck I "heard" that the Hitachi settlement included an express refusal to accept the validity of the RMBS patents! That's a sure fired invitation to have to relitigate the matter and another sign of weakness in my view.

But I am getting burnt out on the RMBS thread. It has taken on a decidedly nasty tone since Friday and I don't enjoy all the personal attacks. A new poster showed up today, said boo and got roasted by the "mob" before he had a chance to put his feet up.

The important thing to me is that RMBS keep afloat until DDR2 gets standardized at JEDEC that's all I want. After that I don't care. ...Much. :8)

It is interesting to see the market discount these litigation outcomes though. I don't see many buy and hold types talking about RMBS at all. At least I hope I am not seeing buy and hold types playing that kind of risk, but to each his own.
