You are right. I was only looking at a single even-money bet. There are actually 4 on a roulette wheel: black/red and even/odd. But the point I was making which is not reflected in your calculations is that there is a zero and sometimes double zero on the wheel. Those numbers are the house edge and are neither black/red nor even/odd.
