AT&T placing a big cable modem order with Motorola

I was just told by RoadRunner that they are switching to Toshiba DOCSIS modems (1.1 I think). This has a different headend with Cisco routers, instead of MOT's proprietary routers. They will continue to run the legacy MOT modems, but are recommending the Toshibas for those with latency issues (e.g., gaming, stock-quote feeds).
