Tie - For email only, PocketMail offers unlimited messages (sorry, no attachments although text & html are grafted onto the end of the message) and the ability to access to your regular isp mailbox (if your employer/spouse/etc. allows it) for $9.95/mo. Using PoMa's own mail service is included in the $9.95. Their modem is $99 at CompUSA (where I bought ours), and they furnish an 800 number for access from anyplace on any phone (including cellphones) @9600 baud. I figure it'll hold a place in convenience until wireless gets better. It's also easier to use than hauling my laptop to an analog line to check to see if somebody at work is trying to get me (I hate pagers and don't have one).

Now that I've voluntarily shilled (since I have no connection to PM which is a private co. - although I note they sure have poached some responsible and experienced managers from other companies recently, according to their website), anybody out there have *negative* experiences, other than the relatively slow (but still faster than data on a cellphone) download time and 'email only' limit? Comparable services from competitors?

Regards,
Harry
