(Nasdaq: HLTH), the first end-to-end Internet healthcare company connecting physicians and consumers to the entire healthcare industry, and the American College of Surgeons (ACS), a professional medical organization representing over 60,000 surgeons, today announced an agreement to provide Scientific American(R) Surgery, a progressive and continually updated surgery reference, on Healtheon/WebMD's physician portal, WebMD Practice(SM). Scientific American(R) Surgery will enhance the reliable, trusted medical content available on WebMD Practice(SM), which can be found at www.webmd.com.

As part of the new agreement,

-- Via the ACS, Healtheon/WebMD will offer underwritten WebMD Practice(SM)
subscriptions to all Fellows of the ACS and surgical resident
candidates and associates.
-- Healtheon/WebMD will also provide underwritten WebMD Practice(SM)
subscriptions to Scientific American(R) Surgery subscribers.
-- Healtheon/WebMD will Web-enable Scientific American(R) Surgery and
preview it to more than 15,000 attendees at the ACS 86th Clinical
Congress in Chicago in October.
-- Healtheon/WebMD will offer ACS members information on basic Internet
use at the upcoming ACS Clinical Congress.
-- The ACS will offer selected content from the Scientific American(R)
Surgery newsletter on the ACS Web site and in its monthly membership
publication, Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons. The ACS

also will promote Scientific American(R) Surgery at its meetings.
