Well, I guess the guys had to dig up a new rag, since their old favorite, pcworld, came up with the "money for nothing" tag. I imagine they'll recycle this one about 300 times, same as they did with the pre-"money for nothing" pcworld bit.

Doesn't much matter, though. Now that the official line seems to be that Intel never meant Willamette to be exclusively bs-ram, I'm sure there'll always be another revisionist history version to go with whatever happens. Probably the next line will be that Rambus is just too good for PC memory, and the patent scam was the primary purpose of the whole exercise right from the start.
