Hi all,

Since today is my birthday, I'm going to share my all time favorite summer dessert. Thanks to my Aunt, its her recipe.

Triffle

Make at least three different flavored and colored Jello's. You can use sugar free because it is supposed to be a light dessert. Pour each one in a flat, (1 inch thick at least), baking pan.
Either make or buy one pound cake. It works better with plain pound cake but you can experiment.
Look for 1 pint of Whipping cream in the grocery store. If they don't have it then use 1 pint of Heavy cream and add some sugar to sweeten. You decide how much.
Once the Jello has set, cube it into small bite sized pieces put aside.
Cube the pound cake into small bite sized pieces as well.
In a large bowl mix all the above ingredients, folding in the whipped cream so you don't lose volume. Refrigerate for the most an half an hour, then serve. The longer it stays in the refrigerator the soggier the pound cake will get. You can add just about any fruit you want, either to the Triffle mixture or to the Jello before it sets. You can add coconut to the Triffle mixture, or small chopped nuts. I personally like it plain. Serve in tall wine glasses if your having company.
