I have been told by technical people that broadvision is technically flawed. It is written in C++ (or just C?) and not Java - and java is the platform of choice. The "best" java application server is apparently weblogic from BEA. ATG is also java.

Sorry if this is so simplistic everybody knows it already - also I'm not totally sure of the accuracy.

I don't usually put too much weight on core technology for the applications providers, except in this case with Java, because the J2EE standard is going to add some transactional stuff which will assist the extended supply chain people in these outside the firewall transactions we are cooking up. So if you base your app on broadvision you are hosed with this new stuff.
