I noted your comment on SI regarding the length of time Mattson is taking with the Steag merger. The German Government recently changed the tax laws there having to do with corporate mergers. In Germany at the present time,
the sale of a division is a fully taxable event. There are no tax free alternatives like in the US. As of Jan 2001, the tax law changes and this is causing the delay.
