Check out LEAP and HCM.

HCM is an REIT trading at half it's book value of over $9 a share. The company pays earnings as dividends and has turned in .14, .12 and .10 for the last three quarters. The company's subsidiary, HanoverTrade.com will be going online in October with a internet trading website for mortgage backed securities. A recent SEC filing disclosed an 8% acquisition of the company's stock with the intent of acquiring control of the company.

LEAP is a IT consulting and website development company which recently completed a merger with SPR, Inc., and has also achieved tier 1 status with BroadVision. The merger has taken a bite out of earnings for the first half, but the company is projecting a return to profitability in Q3 and Q4. They have a very strong balance sheet with over $50 million in cash and short term investments, and very little debt. A recent addition to the board of directors is also a director on the board of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. The stock is currently trading under $3 which is below book and is a bargain for a company with these kind of fundamentals. Companies with similar fundamentals in the industry are trading in the $30+ range.
