>>There are property rights, retirement benefits<<

B.S. There are no special property rights that my wife receives. Also, I don't receive any extra retirement benefits because I'm married.

>>health care issues from insurance companies,<< Health care issues are not governmnet issues however are private industry issues. My company chooses to pay for my health insurance as a benefit, not by any government mandate. Gay's practice an unhealthy lifestyle that the insurance companies choose to not cover due to risks factors. I have a pilots license, my life insurance specifies that if I die in a private airplane crash my wife receives nothing. If I want to be covered, I have to pay on my own. If a gay partner wants to get covered for health care, I see nothing that prevents them from doing so.

>>list is long and extensive<< This is a non-response, you threw it out here, now support it. There is no special government rights associated with marriage.
