Sonny,

Ok, I'll finally get you answered.

I hope I don't offend anyone but flame me if you will. Please educate me if I have a perception of the rules/laws.

I understand your more for the Rep than the Dems. I would be too since I really agree with most of what they say. The problem I have is that they now seem to be so ultra ultra conservative. When did the republican platform start being run by the far right?? Or what I would see as the 'christen collation' or the 'church'. Why should I have to decide my candidate by his/her views on abortion?? That's what bothers me the most. Do you honestly care about the religion of the VP or Pres??? Does it really matter??? NO!! I don't care if the man worships Satan or the Redwood Tree. If he can do his job then his spiritual views don't matter.

I'm not for big government (socialism). Every politician is going to say exactly what they think the people want to hear. The key has got to be cooperation with the congress.

These days the president is really a figure head. Yes He has the key to the 'BUTTON' but his ideas have to get through congress period. Yes, I know there are the executive orders but the congress can always undo those if they choose.. Can't they??

Yes, If it were not for business we would not have this wonderful economy. But please refresh my memory. Who Signed Nafta?? Yes, Clinton, but Who proposed it?? We are still hearing a huge sucking sound from down south. Ok, maybe not everyone has lost their good manufacturing jobs... Yet!

Of Course Liberman is now going along with his potential new Boss. Wouldn't you too, if you were in his shoes?? <ggg> I'm against quotes and school vouchers too. Let the best person get the job and fix the existing problems with the public schools. I think we will also start seeing more and more reverse discrimination suits due to quota's.

No one likes Marriage Penalty. And If I would have realized it was going to screw me so bad I'd be living in sin right now. <GGG> The Deduction for families under 50K is a nice start but anymore 50K isn't squat. Try living in San Jose on that. For Lincoln that's excellent money. Yes Women do work, weather at home or not. It's just us working women are expected to do 2x as much. The same as a stay at home mom plus the 40+ hours a week we put in away from home. Someone give me a deduction for that!!! Oh, sure I could stay at home but we would be living in a trailer park. Sorry, very very sore subject with me. Also my kids Godfather quit his job and is staying home with the 2 kids and 1 on the way.

I'll give you a bit of background on another reason I am down on the republicans. When I was 18, I should have been eligible for my mom Social Security. But Since Reagan signed the law reducing minors rights from 21 down to 18 I was hosed. Along with another orphan friend of mine. Well I'm sure you all know by now I am a very resourceful person. I didn't have to quit college (full grants for poor people, actually an excellent idea) but I did go through a few tough years. Try living on $6 a month after rent and utilities. You do what you have to do and go with out. Also they let all the crazies out of the mental hospitals. That changed our town/city forever. We never had a homeless problem before then. You didn't see bums sleeping on park benches or in alleys downtown.

So I could be in that trailer park with my 5 kids collecting welfare. But I'm not thanks to at least one good social program, PELL and the student Loan program. If socialism is helping people help themselves then I'm all for it. But I'm not for a welfare state where everyone thinks the world owes them something. Oh course I'm all for capitalism!! It's what got me where I am today. You get out what you put in!!!

Well I hope I didn't babble there too much!! <GGG>

You have an excellent evening. Sorry to be so scarce but I've taken on another department, so I'm even busier than before.

Take Care

Ann
