Probably true when I get better at it (writing cov calls)...but look at this month: wrote cov calls against SSTI and CSCO; had to buy them back because SSTI is recovering fast and CSCO did not go down very much (Made about $500 on the whole SSTI deal and about $800 on the CSCO deal).
BUT....have cov calls against GMST, some at 70 so they are fine but some at 60, not sure what to do about that, and then there are the cov calls against JDSU I was SURE it would fall to 90 during August but instead it went up and I now have to face a taxable event as the JDSU gets taken away on Friday (not willing to buy those back at this point.)
So to use cov calls on a regular basis for income...not sure.
Any suggestions are welcome.
