Thunderbird vs classic: I don't remember if this is still a point of contention, but HP's 1GHz athlons are thunderbirds. ctodirect.ebus.hp.com Also HP is selling 1GHz coppermines now too, and they are listed at $2719 versus $2369 for the athlon, a $350 differnece. (you have to configure will lower ram and less hard drive to make the systems equal) I will be very interested to see how many OEM's carry the 1.1GHz athlon when it is introduced on Aug 28. This should give us a good indication of athlon binsplits.
