Jeez, Canary, you could at least wait a day before swooping in! There must be a LOT of eyes watching Globalstar, waiting to see if it will be carrion.

There must be a lot of shorts and Tasmanian Devils, waiting for the liquidated assets feast, who are just a little bit nervous now that October is NOT going to see a cash crunch. They will have to wait at LEAST until well into next year and they must have a sneaking suspicion that investors might just put the necessary funds in.

The first leg of the short's argument [that this turkey would be dinner before Xmas if not Thanksgiving] has been removed [from the argument, not the turkey I should point out in case anyone's confused]. The second leg, that demand will NOT be sufficient to keep this turkey alive is looking flimsy. The service providers seem quite sure that they have got their pricing right and there seems little intent to reduce prices to stimulate demand.

That means that the service providers are really hopeless [for which there is some argument] or that there really is sufficient demand at current prices to fill the system. If there really is demand at the current price levels, this hockey stick is NOT going to go asymptotic. Profits will be stupendous.

If all those watching eyes start blinking, thinking that maybe this turkey is going to take off, they will be covering fast. They will be loading their Tonka Trucks [I'm sure your little Truck will be loading up Greg]. The price is going to take off like a moon launch. The rapid rise of QUALCOMM during 1999 will look positively lethargic, since there was no monster short interest to be cleared in a thinly-traded stock.

But please, no pushing or shoving. We do NOT want any short squeezes until the officially designated date of Thanksgiving Day Y2K. We are running a price manipulation scam here and people must be disciplined. Form an orderly queue and we [the co-conspirators] will advise when you may purchase some stock. I've got mine already, so you don't need to rush. Gregg has his. Rocket Scientist has done a runner but is in the fringes via Loral. Geoff Goodfellow has his short position well and truly covered by going long, ready for the rocket-ride.

This could be a study in short squeezes in The New Paradigm.

You asked Gregg how much longer before this stock rewards share holders Greg. I think that is very unpredictable. If you refrain from buying, we might be able to get it through to Thanksgiving.

PS: Thanks for the perspective Gregg. Good luck Greg. Let us know when "The Canary has Landed".

When you say 'the stock has done nothing for 4.75 years', readers should be aware that you mean in terms of share price. The company has built from nothing a highly successful worldwide communications system. Service is now starting up. The achievement is a technological marvel and a fitting crown to the 20th century. It's nice that it should start service in Y2K. Bernie can look back on one of the world's great achievements and know that he played a major part in it. All the other participants will be able to recount the shambles of Zenit and the fears in Y2K about the rollout and how they came through in the end. Success should involve some challenge to survival. A cakewalk is no fun. Shareholders can recount their stoicism and prescience.
