Under the 'Be glad your not me heading'

I bought a IBM aptiva today from a pawn shop to replace my 150 pent. It came with a quick restore disk and I thought that as I didn't know where it had been it would be good to reload everything so there wouldn't be any nastyiness lurking. The disk did its thing and win 98 booted up. It asked for the super secret code and I gave it the code on my CD. It laughed. I then noticed that the cd didn't have the right number of digits. I called the pawn shop who said they didn't have any more stuff that came with the computer. No big deal I thougt I'll just go buy a win 98 upgrade disk and use that code. Well as you may have guessed it didn't work. So basically I have a new 400 pent II that won't work becuase I don't have the code and a win 98 update disk that wont load because I can't get past the code entry screen. Any ideas ?

Thanks much in advance !
Rob
