Ann. Thanks for the alert. Better safe than sorry. Glad to read that it seems to be a hoax. About this ultra ultra conservative stuff from the religious right. Are you talking about Lieberman? gg. Did you listen to his speech right after he heard that Al Gore named him his running mate? Half his speech was about God. Btw. My wife and I are pro choice in the early stages but we are not for killing babies when they are alive and kicking. A lot of people are against the death sentence for killers but see nothing wrong for killing a 9 month old baby. Go figure. I don't know if this will offend you. I was 18 when I joined the NAVY and never got a dime towards my education from my parents even though they were alive. I worked hard to get my education. Remember what a Dem President said: Don't ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. Did you ever listen to all in the family? Their theme song goes like this: We did not live in a Welfare State, everyone pulled their weight, those were the days. I listened to a welfare program the other night, hosted by Maria Shriver. They followed 4 mothers with children from a housing project. They were put into a lottery for a housing program and they won. They were moved to a middle class neighborhood and their rent was paid or they paid minimal towards it, if they were working. They were supposed to show up for training etc. One mother stayed home for 2 years, watching her neighbors go to work and watch them come home again. Her apartment rent of 1200 dollars a month was paid for 2 years before she showed up for training. 28000+ for 2 years. It was never mentioned what her living expenses were. And her kids were in school. She finally got trained, went to work for a while and now goes to college, tuition paid. The other cases were not much better. One mother even went back to the housing project, I believe. There got to be a better way. More later. It's too late now and you did say a mouthful. gg. Sonny
