Of course if folks followed your way of thinking, people would be arguing the positions of the Whig candidate in this election.

You are probably correct that getting rid of the oppressive nanny state and returning the country to the ideals of the FF's is a lost cause. There are too many people like you who think that folks can't get along without the crutch of big gov't. But we'll see...it takes time. This year the Libertarians will field candidates in more than half of the Congessional races (best alternate party showing since the Socialist in 1920), will be on the ballot in all 50 states, and had the largest alternate party convention since the Progressives in 1948.

You can encourage me to waste my vote all you like, but I won't be voting for Gore or Bush. That's the only way my vote would be wasted.
