Do you think that these chat rooms are inherently problematic? I know that any situation where you are trying to follow someone else's stock picks is dangerous to say the least. Nevertheless, the concept (of real time guidance and discussion) seems to have real value. I haven't seen any comments about the chat rooms themselves (due, I expect, to general skepticism by the more experienced traders) but the organizations behind some of them (e.g., Pristine and mTrader) seem to be reasonably well regarded.
