To all: Shorts are mostly in control of momo ASYS here. However, with a 1.9 mil float on ASYS, and 5.3 mil traded by 10:15am. . . I'd say there is a good chance for another run today. . .perhaps as high as 19 7/8. It's just a matter of supply and demand. Shorts are totally naked, since the stock is not marginable. They will want to stretch it out and box it in. . .until momentum dies down. . but with such a low floater, I doubt they'll contain it. Often it just takes one mention from CNBC and the momentum players are back in control. Or if momentum players simply wait the shorts out. . . .and watch the volume. . . shorts get bored quickly. . . when the volume and trade rate diminish to the point where it appears they have lost all interest. . . . then the savvy momentum traders pounce and drive the price right back upward. . .with short-sellers panic-covering along the way. Such very low float stocks are about the only type of momentum plays that are working these days. Sector, technology, big news momentums are all duds. But tiny float momos are hot. The big trick in a tiny float momentum is getting in low. . .and getting out fast or early. . . always trading ahead of the pack. . .because a stock like this can move very quickly. Another thing. .. .never turn your back on a low floater. Just when you think that shorts are going to drive it right back down. . . because of the low float, it can easily fall out of their hands and the second spikes can be more dramatic than the first! The best way to play, IMO, is to go both ways. . . with a careful eye on volume and charts. . .and an ear on news. Rande Is PS> At the point of writing this, I have no position long or short in ASYS
