Even though low income earners pay little federal income tax, they are subject to social security taxes and Medicare taxes. If
they smoke, drink alcohol, drive an internal combustion engine, use a telephone or visit national parks, they "invest" into the
US Treasury.


But they do get EITC and some pay negative federal income taxes.

Income taxes only make up about half of treasury collections. There are many other areas where our taxes should be reduced or abolished.

I agree. What areas of spending would you like to slash in order to reduce taxes greatly without running a deficit?
