Ann. Just got a minute before going to the Fair with the grandkids. They entered some pigs through the 4 H club. Not a bad return. Maybe we should do that. gg. Some stock picks by Janus. I own Janus Twenty. Like some of my stocks, it did not do too well either lately. Maybe we are whining because the market is so crabby. gg. thestreet.com BTW. One of the Dems at the convention said: If you want to live like a Republican, vote Democrat. Right, let the stupid Republicans work and then use their tax dollars for giveaways. And don't dare give the taxpayers some of their money back. And believe it or not. I AM for help for the really needy, just not for the lazy. Just kidding. Most Dems are hardworking. I guess some of us are more conservative and others are more liberal. The one thing I can't understand is the Dems no shame speeches. Lieberman put in a swipe against the other ticket last night. He said: When I was Atty.Gen. of Connecticut, yes, I even went against oil cos. for gauging the consumers at the gas pump. Give me a break. Again. Al Gore's dad sat on the board of OXY. They are going after Cheney for his retirement package as a CEO for the last 5 yrs at Haliburton. An oil exploration company. 20 mill. total income over 5 years pales in comparison to what their entertainment friends get. Dis etc. What did one of those exiting officers of Dis sue for? 500 mill. besides what he already got? The Dems are taking plenty of money from the entertainment industry and they are polluting our kids. There was one little funny episode last night. Lieberman talked about how his dad supported his family with a bakery truck. Ben Stein, the comic, mentioned on TV last night that the only truck he ever saw Lieberman's dad in, was a liquor truck. That's how he ended up with a chain of liquor stores. I am not sure if he was kidding. I may have to check this out. I believe Lieberman said they lived above a liquor store. Anyhow. Oil, tobacco and maybe liquor. Like I said before. Glass houses and hypocrisy. And about waffling. That's already starting. And another Dem slogan: We are the New Guard and they are the Old Guard. Give me a break. Did you see the line up the day of Ted Kennedy's speech? How many old speeches were there on that screen since the convention started? Sheesh. That's what I call progress. A pretty confusing message so far. So much for 1 minute. What politics and stocks will do to you. gg. Sonny
