Briefly, Kevin. . .[Quote Server down]. . .But as I recall. . .in Dec 99 we had a quick surge in the Dow which turned out to be a precursor to direction. . . the Nasdaq then took the hint and started creeping northward on low volume. . . 20, 30 and 40 points at a time. . .just like we've been seeing lately. There was a brief pullback in both markets. . . which shook out those that were still looking for Y2K selloff. . .followed by a continued steady slow climb on low volume by both markets over the final two weeks of December. . .with the peak coming by the months end. What I am saying is that so far, August is acting in a manner very similar to December. . . .with the low volume dull market slow motion rally. . . if we were to continue the current rate of climb. . .we would be at new highs across the board by the end of the month. [More of a historical read than a technical one.] . . . oh, and as I recall. . . during the first two weeks of December there was such volatility that nobody quite knew what to think. . . lots of confusion about direction. . . caught literally everyone by surprise. . . as did the subsequent plunge on the first day of the year 2000. . . which set up a string of 4-day Margin Liquidation Selling plays. . . [what did we call those for short? "4DML" I think]
