Hello Rusty;
I never thought I would say this, but I now think Primestar, Alphastar, and Echostar face formidable odds.
E* alone has over $1.3 billion in debt, and now Charlie wants to give the damn things away for way below cost. There are many reasons why Murdoch left the party, but in the end, it just wasn't worth the trouble or the expense.
My prediction (and I hope I'm wrong);
Anyone interested in E*'s platform will wait and circle like a vulture knowing full well that they will run out of cash by July. Wall Street is very skeptical of DTH right now, so don't count on a high yield bond either.
Their only hope would be massive share dilution via a stock offering.
Charlie, don't wait too long either, look what happened to Alphastar.
