Annual Meeting Overview

I'm just back from Calif and the AXC annual meeting among other things. No need to get excited based on this meeting.

First 10 or 15 minutes were the formal part of the meeting. Election of Directors, approval of auditors, etc.

Ed Bramson then entertained questions from the floor. (I've owned this stock since the Pink Sheet days and read SI faithfully even though rarely post. Bottom line is I know what you want to hear but if I didn't hear it I can't post it.)

Two area's of interest

1. Delaware lawsuit....Still under consideration by the judge. Could be sometime before we here. If AXC doesn't like results will likely appeal. The same strategy will be applied by the other side.
Looks like after the 1st of the year for other issues to be tried.

2. KM. Will Maxtor or anyone else use on inductive drives? Thats the question but unfortunately I don't know the answer and neither does AXC. Clearly the interest expressed is toward MR not inductive. If I may be allowed to speculate, the feeling was the industry is moving to MR at a much faster rate than was anticipated. Now don't overreact to this, but on the issue of MR improvement with KM we finally reached the point where I heard "similar" to inductive. If so this could be good news. Why do I say "could be"? Because Bramson said that additional testing is still being completed and that perhaps by the end of the quarter he could more fully address the issue. I would sum it up as positive, but not wildly so. Remember, somebody still has to buy this to make it a commercial success.

Lastly, Ed did say that other areas of exploration in the future will have to do with Video imaging.

Art, if your reading this you might want to jump and clarify anything I missed.

Best regards, Dave Martinson
