How about adding a favorite, funky or childhood picture? A new feature from PhotoWorks (Nasdaq:FOTO - news), the Internet photo services company, and partner BigNose.com, allows customers to take any picture stored in the PhotoWorks archive, and turn it into a poster or art print on canvas or watercolor paper as large as 36 x 48 inches.
``PhotoWorks helps people do more with their pictures,'' said Gary Christophersen, President and CEO of PhotoWorks. ``Producing posters of favorite pictures is a great idea for reunions, graduation parties, weddings or other functions where you want to use photos to tell life stories.''
Creating a unique poster from a picture is simple. First, the picture needs to be in the PhotoWorks archive. In addition, customers will be able to personalize their products by adding custom headlines in a variety of text styles and sizes. Once the order is submitted, BigNose.com will produce and fulfill the customers' product within 48 hours.
``We're excited to have a leader in Internet photo services such as PhotoWorks as a partner,'' said Tim Flanagan, President of BigNose.com. ``Digital imaging has opened the door for consumers to get more from their pictures and we're excited to be able to add to their publishing choices by providing a variety of large format products such as posters and art prints,'' continued Flanagan.
