Brinker's signing of his current three year contract with ABC
Radio Network was mentioned in a column in Radio & Records
Magazine in 1994 when the contract was signed. At the time the
deal extended his tenure on Moneytalk through December of 1997.
Brinker has discussed his desire to join the pro golf tour and
teach some of the pros some humility. This would require weekend
play and would make Moneytalk impossible. Since he has always
considered Rocky Marciano his idol I just assumed he was trying
to suggest how great it must be to retire as undefeated and
undisputed champion of what you do best. Now that Timer Digest
ranks him undisputed #1 market timer for the last two years it
would certainly make sense for him to quit while on top of the heap.
As for "cash flow" I doubt very much the Brinker is interested.
I cannot picture Brinker crying over a lack of "cash flow". If
he has followed his own advice he should have made it to his
often quoted "land of monopoly money" long ago. Personally, I
very much hope he stays at the helm of the Starship....but
such complacency about his future plans is probably unwarranted.
I guess this just makes me another "Hail Bobb" trekkie....but
I make no apology for this to anyone. One thing is for sure....
the Goddess may be supernatural....but she's no Hail Bobb.
As for Flanigan....all I can say is pass the smelling salt.
