Divided Airlines & Camp O'Hare....
Folks, I'm not going anywhere this evening. Cancelled the dinner with this jazz musician and his partner this evening. We were going to go over the vocal harmonies for a song they want me to participate in tomorrow evening.
Not sure how many are aware, but customers all across teh USA have the power to band together to change the name of United Airlines to Divided Airlines. O'Hare Airport has should/could become Camp O'Hare and every airport in this country should/could become an automatic satellite of Camp O'Hare, impacted in the same way travellers with cancelled flights, delays, etc. all over the squabble between the pilots and the management.
Here's my solution, let the customers own United, but only on the condition that they are satisfied that they are being served better than any other airline. This means that customers now have the power. The power to change the name of the company to Divided from United is just one example. The power to change the name of O'Hare Airport to Camp O'Hare.
Yes, the world is all about the definitions which we are empowered through RISK and actions to come up and then simply give away for others to benefit from. Divided Airlines simply reflects the factual reality of the totally dysfunctional energy that is cutting off this airlines from it's customer base. All for what? Who cares about the customer? Ha!!! Not easily recovered in this New Age of Service.
The tides are massively shifting. What was up is now down and vis versa. What was refered to as "management" is now called "mismanagement" etc. Where are the stockholders in this squabble? At the bottom of the pyramid, below the customers or just above the customers depending on what slack you are giving to whom.
I say enough already!!
Invert the pyramid.
NO used to be the defining battlecry for management and the pilots in the Old Pyramid model - the DOT at the apex of the pyramid. But now the pyramid has collapsed and these poor folks just don't understand.
Insert the little guy on the top of an inverted pyramid which extends to an unlimited reach outward higher in all directions. Now imagine each little customer is at the base of his/her inverted pyramid of service which reached outward and upward to others he/she knew, shared time and trust with, etc. The negative factoid regarding Divided Airlines problems are shared freely and openly across the web, via phone, with others in a growing radiating sweep of information about delays, problems, issues, etc.
The empowered Individual. Welcome to this New Age of Service. Where individuals are empowered to demand to be treated with respect and courtesy and service. Where personal/individual trust is the most sought after thing in the universe - more valuable than money, data and information.
Divided Airlines. I will spread the world about how this impacted my plans to reach out and connect, communicate, collaborate and cooperate with some folks in the greater St. Louis / East St. Louis area. These folks are placing themselves above "me" in terms of power and influence.
BIG mistake.
WE - each individual - have unlimited power and influence. It just that very few of us have dared to risk embracing it or sharing it with others. I say, "it's time!!!" Going forward, our federal, state and local governments, companies and everyone that is somehow connected in anyway to us has to prove they have earned our time and trust.
TIME and TRUST.
For our time is priceless. It's wrapped up in our ability to embrace and experience and share the unlimited value of each moment. If we are going to extend our trust to people who are going to come into our lives to help and serve us, then they have to earn our trust to spend some or more of our time.
And if during the time they spend with us they are not worthy of our trust, then we, as empowered individuals, need to do whatever we can to make sure we are allowing others who CAN help and serve us to compete to earn our time and trust.
Simple. INDIVIDUALS are the last frontier in this world. They have always had the power, but were just unwilling or scared to exercise and embrace this power.
The power to serve others and the power to decide who has earned the right to serve them.
That's it.
Peace.
