Brilliant, jester-person!
In my experience, the only people who spout off like that:
1) Are drunk.
2) Rode the short bus to school.
3) Are too small in too many ways to be an effective bully, yet still fantasize about being one.
4) All of the above.
A word, or a gesture is insufficient provocation to escalate to actual physical violence. (Something I learned in kindergarten. If you haven't been, or flunked out, I recommend it.)
I am very, very far from a pacifist, but am not a barbarian, either. When it comes time, I'm a very large man and do a damn fine job of protecting me and mine. But first I use my head to protect same. Even more effective. Grey matter has always been a more devastating weapon than any hunk of steel or flesh.
Try not to be quite such a knee-jerk reactionary clown, will you? Geez!
