Liz has so much more character than Maria, so does Kathleen Hays who I admire for her boldness. I remember once when Liz did an imitation of Joe Kiernan which had me in tears.

When I first started watching CNBC I respected Maria, but after all those bullish comments prior to the open day after day, and to see the market sell off so often after she would say rally - just lost respect. I get the impression that the floor traders are feeding her with bullish ideas which fail as much as they succeed, so she hasnt caught on. I just dont think that she is neutral enough to do the job well. Sure we all want to hear that the market is moving up. She doesnt clarify that what happens at the open could change at any time, so she loses creditability with me.

Liz, on the other hand is more neutral and she is just funny. She has the wit and personality to keep up with TED and JOE.
