Muzzo Re...<<<If someone managed to lie to you, it is your fault. <<<

You didn't read the question carefully. On a more serious note, just because I didn't catch the false degree doesn't absolve the employee of responsibility for deceiving the employer. Some people are good liars. Just look at Bill Clinton. The only way you can tell he is lying is if his lips are moving.

As a manger you really can't micro-manage like your theory wants to imply. You simply can't watch every employee even some of the time, much less most of the time. Secondly, all managers have to make decisions based on available evidence; and a lot of decisions; right under one set of circumstances, would be wrong under another set.A good manager has to take some chances. If you have never made a mistake as a manager, then you have never managed. A decision which is right 90% of the time is still wrong 10% of the time.It would be like me telling Ted that a great trader never makes bad trades. That would be absurd because all traders make bad trades. The good traders just make fewer bad trades percentage wise. Or another saying is "If you have never made a mistake, you have never taken a chance."

Thirdly Shit happens. Machines break down, accidents, problems with employees personal life can all happen and create problems. Besides, as a manger, I can assure you we don't feel all of the problems are managerial. We feel that all problems stem from the employees, and we must be right, because it usually is the employee who gets fired.
