Hi Ali Chen; Thanks for the posts on the power consumption of AMD and Intel processors, I was unaware that the power consumption figures were so close (i.e. 30%). That makes it pretty easy to figure out the respective difficulties in the cooling requirements:

AMD Intel
Tj 90 62 (Degrees C)
Tamb 24 24 (i.e. 75 degrees F)
-- --
Tdiff 66 38

Power 65 50 (Watts, my guess here, but ratio is 30%.)
TR 1.01 .76 (Thermal resistance of heat sink.)

In other words, the Intel machines require 25% better heat sinks. To get back to heat sink parity (and therefore, in some way, overclocking equality), Intel needs to get their Tj back to around 75 degrees C.)
