I assume your "(horror story)" label referred to the Stephen King novel (which I downloaded & paid 1 dollar for and didn't care for), and didn't refer to GMST effort.
Because of a similar article, I went to the PC 2000 show and previewed the "palm-sized reader" by Franklin Electronic Publishers, and had an opportunity to interrogate their Chief Technology Officer, and the CFO. The device was fun to play with, but IMO too small on which to read a book, which is the app. they are counting on. (It was actually designed to fit into a man's shirt pocket). The GMST book is much friendlier. It should not be forgotten that the GMST product has never been hacked, because it is device specific. When I order a novel for my Rocket E-Book (I'm on my 10th), it can only be read on MY SPECIFIC BOOK. On Wednesday, I asked Henry how I could pass a book on to a family member who owns a different Rocketbook. He declared that in the next generation, I would return it to my electronic bookshelf and download it to the other Rocket Book at no additional cost.
IMHO, most of us are making a macro-mistake in underestimating the future of E-Books.
