Linux,

There is some work to do to make Linux support better for Dell customers. I've heard grumbling from Linux users over the fact that the drivers that are customized and qualified for Dell machines are not shipped on the machine. They are installed into the Linux running on the machine, but if for any reason the user has to, or wants to rebuild their Linux image there are no drivers (except for the ones supplied by Red Hat which are generic and not necessarily tested on Dell machines). To make matters worse, they are not available on the web site either. The user is forced to hunt the web looking for things that may work. If this issue is addressed I think Dell could have a very loyal following of Linux users.
