Re: 3 months gathering data. What for? If the purpose is to analyze the stock, like professional analysts do, that's one thing. If the purpose is to make or keep an investment in MRVC, that's another thing. If an investor has to spend 3 months analyzing the stock before making an investing decision in MRV, then imo, the complexity of the situation, by that fact itself, warrants a continued low price in the stock. For the investor, he or she should just pass by MRVC and move to low lying fruit, of which there is much. If one believes that part of the professional analyst's job is to make those three month analyses (and advise their mutual fund/institutions of the result), then one has to believe in the power and analytical forecasts of such analysts. From what I can tell, in spite of people's seeking to gain an investing advantage by trying to eke out superior company specific information, there is no evidence that shows superior investment research is a proven method for attaining superior and sustainable investment results.
